LEADING THE UX/UI EVOLUTION FOR A NATIONAL LOTTERY PLATFORM

Challenge

The Health Lottery was grappling with an outdated and fragmented technology infrastructure, comprising two disparate CMS systems and a separate lottery engine. This complex and disjointed setup not only hindered seamless operations but also resulted in a front end that failed to deliver a satisfactory user experience, both functionally and visually. Players encountered numerous frustrations, leading to a decline in engagement and significantly impacting profitability. The need for a cohesive, modern, and user-friendly platform was evident, requiring a comprehensive overhaul to address these pressing issues and enhance overall performance.

Solution

Our engagement began with the task of optimizing the 'All or Nothing' game from its conceptual stage, which included designing banner assets for its launch. However, this initial brief soon expanded into a full-scale, 360-degree platform evolution. We developed an extensive Figma prototype encompassing 617 screens, intricately linked with 8,123 connections, 80% of which were created manually. The prototype also included a comprehensive narrative with a total word count of 82,122. This meticulous and thorough redesign aimed to unify the technology stack, enhance user experience, and create a visually appealing and functional interface. “RCA have been a true partner in working closely with our team to get the detail right and ensure that we deliver an optimised platform that’s been thoroughly considered and tested to save time and resources moving forwards. They’ve also supported us in other ad hoc ways and become a valuable extension of our team.”
